Zoroastrians believe that after death the body it only makes pollution. Cremation or burial excluded because they assume will pollute the sacred elements like fire and earth. So, they do some way called the exposure of the dead.
The deceased's body is stored in the tower called the Tower of Silence and allowed to be eaten by vultures. This practice is still carried out in the Indian subcontinent. Reduced Vulture vulture population in India has caused this process to be horrible. Some recent photos, showing the piles of corpses rotting in the Tower in Mumbai (India), and generated controversy in the community.
